During the Spring of 2009 I lived in Japan for 4 months while I studied at University in Osaka. For Hanami my Japanese friends and I went to Banpaku Koen. 
We BBQed and watched the Sakura, it was truly a wonderful time.
Banpaku Koen is a Huge park in Osaka, Japan with tons of Sakura & other blooming trees, as well as, fields to play in, a lake to peddle boat, and BBQ spots.
